Homeschooling is a progressive movement around the country and the world, in which parents choose to educate their children at home instead of sending them to a traditional public or private school. That said, one of the advantages of sending kids to state-regulated schools is that the entire staff is mandated to meet certain safety standards. These are not just limited to first-aid but to a lot of precautionary actions which if ignored can lead to problems. When you decide to homeschool your kids you have to raise your standards or exceed them.

The furniture and apparatus you use must be child-friendly, They will taste it, bite it and run into it. Whether it is your own design or a ready-made item make sure you keep safety first.

I asked a mom “How long are you planning to homeschool them? How many grades?” and this is how she answered.

My plan is just to take them one year at a time.  See how it goes. I got my certification in Pre-K through 4th grade, so I should be able to teach them through then.

My next question was, “How do you keep up the motivation to continue homeschooling” and she said.

I don’t know!!  I did really good the first week Second week I slacked off a little bit, third week i slacked off a little bit but then I got my act together and the first thing I did was to create an environment which is conducive to learning. I created a classroom.

I asked another mom if she was getting paid for the school supplies or was it her own budget?

Own budget. But thankfully my mom was a per-school teacher and she has given us a ton of supplies. Although I get my ideas mostly from mom, but I have discovered that there are many publications which point you in the right direction. Also state study plans can be found online with a little bit of googling.
